FAIRFIELD, CA (August 13, 2017) - Sam Harned closed with the round of the tournament, a 68 to finish 2-under and as the five-stroke winner of the Fairfield City Amateur.
Harned, who won the Roseville City Amateur in April, opened with a 74 in Saturday's first round at Paradise Valley Golf Course before overcoming a two-stroke deficit in the final round.
First round co-leader Jarrett Hill took second at 3-over, fellow co-leader Chase Hascup finished third at 4-over along with Jeff Gilchrist while Kent Kao and Rei Echizenya shared fifth at 5-over.
