Peninsula Amateur: Sean Lehman runs away with the win

Consistency was the key for Lehman to win by four shots over the field

Sean Lehman shot two rounds of 3-under 69 to finish 6-under and win the Peninsula Amateur by four shots.

Lehman is the son of five-time PGA Tour winner Tom Lehman, who won the 1996 U.S. Open.

The rising junior at Cal Poly University was tied for the lead after round one with Ryan Torres, but a second-round 3-under 69 for Lehman and a second-round 2-over 74 for Torres gave Lehman the fairly easy win. Lehman was the only golfer to shoot two rounds under 70.

Easton Doyle finished in second place at 2-under, and Torres finished in third place at 1-under.

Phil Wastell finished in fourth place at even par.
