Pedersen takes European Ladies Championship

Emily Kristine Pedersen capitalized on a third-round 64 to win the 2013 European Ladies Amateur Championship by three shots

TURKU, Finland (July 27, 2013) — Emily Kristine Pedersen shot the lowest round of the tournament on Friday, a 64, to extend her lead to seven shots, putting her far out in front of the 2013 European Ladies Amateur Championship heading into Saturday's final round. The Denmark native needed just an even-par 72 to capture the title at Aura Golf in Turku, Finland. Pedersen went 67-73-64-72 to finish the tournament at eight-under, one of just five players to finish the event under par. Coming in second place was Belgium's Laura Gonzalez Escallon, who finished at five-under after a final-round 68.
