Venezuela’s Virgilio Paz produced a bogey-free 8-under 63 to come from four shots behind and win the 2026 Goslings Bermuda Open at Port Royal Golf Course.
The amateur made eight birdies without dropping a shot in the final round to finish at 15-under 198 (68-67-63), one stroke ahead of overnight leader Nathan Petronzio.
The victory also earned Paz a place in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, the PGA Tour event scheduled for October 22-25 at the same Port Royal Golf Course.
Paz overturns four-shot deficit
Paz opened with a 3-under 68 and followed it with a 67, leaving him at 7-under and four shots behind Petronzio entering the final round.
He saved his best for Sunday, firing a tournament-closing 63 to turn the four-shot deficit into a one-shot victory.
Petronzio had taken control with rounds of 67-64 and began the final round at 11-under. The American professional added a 3-under 68, making five birdies against two bogeys, but his 14-under 199 total left him one short.
David Pastore also made a final-round charge. After rounds of 71-65, he produced a bogey-free 65 to take third at 12-under 201.
Peter Bradbeer finished fourth at 10-under 203 (70-65-68), while Benjamin Martin matched that total with rounds of 70-67-66 to place fifth. Derek Gillespie was sixth at 7-under 206 (71-67-68).
Will Haddrell was the leading Bermudian, finishing ninth at 2-over after closing with a 69.
Neame wins Senior division
Amateur Richard Neame captured the Senior division at 1-under 212 (68-74-70), finishing 10 shots ahead of Roderick Forrest, who posted rounds of 74-73-75 for 9-over 222.
Robert Vallis placed third at 16-over 229 (83-72-74), while Steven Perry and Geoffrey Piggott shared fourth at 25-over 238.
For Paz, the closing 63 delivered more than the Goslings Bermuda Open title. It also secured a return to Port Royal next month, this time to compete on the PGA Tour at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
