Palanyandi & Hunt Take Bermuda Four-Ball

Damian Palanyandi and Fraser Hunt were three over after nine, but took off from there to win at scenic Port Royal

SOUTHAMPTON, BERMUDA (January 28, 2018) - Damian Palanyandi and Fraser Hunt won the Bermuda Four-Ball Championship, shooting 68-66 to shoot 8 under and clear the field by three shots. It wasn't easy, though, as Palanyandi and Hunt stumbled out of the gate on Saturday, going 3 over on the first nine holes of the tournament. But the script flipped from there, as Palanyandi and Hunt came home in 29, making six birdies in a row from the 12th. Their 68 put them one shot behind first-round leaders Jarryd Dillas and Will Haddrell. Sunday's round was much smoother, as the pair went out in 33 to take the lead by one, and then came home in 33 to put the tournament away. Dillas and Haddrell couldn't get anything going, making only two birdies in a 71 that left them tied for second, three shots behind. Kenny Leseur and Leroy Burch closed with a 66 to share second at 5 under 137. Last year's champions Richard Neame and Ben Hodge finished alone in fourth at 4-under 138. Craig Christensen and Bill Pitt won the Senior Division with a 4-over 146 total. Ann Symonds and Tracy Burgess took the Ladies Championship, shooting 9-over 151.
