William Minton of Raleigh, NC, moved to the top of the leaderboard before the second round of the 33rd North Carolina Mid-Amateur Championship was suspended at North Ridge Country Club.
Minton, who began the day three shots behind opening-round leader Sam Jenkins, produced a 7-under 65 to reach 12-under 132 (67-65) through 36 holes.
