Rounds of 64 and 63 on the par-67 Davis Golf Course for Nick Amen gave him his second-straight win at the event

DAVIS, Calif. (Oct. 5, 2014) — For the second straight year, Nick Amen is the Yolo County Amateur champion. Last year, Amen shot 60 (on a par 67 course) in the first round to cruise to victory at Davis Golf Course. In 2014, rounds of 64 and 63 gave him a two-shot win over former UC Davis golfer Ben Corfee. In the Senior division, Peter Moren escaped from a three-way playoff to win. Shooting 69-67, Moren was tied at the end of play with Frank Madrigal and Dennis Younglove. Moren won on the second playoff hole. Madrigal went 66-70 while Younglove shot consecutive rounds of 68.
