New York Mid-Amateur: Christian Chapman opens six-shot lead with 66

Christian Chapman remains firmly in control of the 42nd New York State Mid-Amateur Championship, taking a six-shot lead into Wednesday’s final round at Country Club of Buffalo.

The 27-year-old from Victor, NY, followed his opening 4-under 66 with a 2-over 72 to sit at 2-under 138 (66-72). He remains the only player under par through 36 holes on the Donald Ross-designed course in Williamsville.
