HENDERSON, Nev. (Aug. 19, 2013) — Though only a 16-man field, some quality golf is being played at the 2013 Nevada State Senior Championship.
Steven Hakes leads by two strokes after one round after carding a three-under par 69.
Cyrus Whitney of Oro Valley, Ariz. is the only other player under par after his 71 on Monday put him in solo second place.
Seven other players are within just five shots of first-round leader Hakes.
