MODESTO, Calif. (June 9, 2014) -- Raymon Tira topped Jesse Contreras to win the 2014 Modesto City Championship at Creekside Golf Course.
Tira shot a first-round 68 and shared the lead with Tom Clark. He hung on for a closing 73 to finish tied atop the leaderboard with Contreras (71-70) before prevailing.
Pat Burda shot 72-70 to take solo third place ahead of Frank Madrigal (73-69) and Kenny Verschelden (69-75).
Kenny Webb shot 71-71 to win the Senior Division by nine shots. Ronald Collet, Larry Krogness and Marco Dusi all tied for third place.
Jane Fendarle won the Women's Championship, shooting 72-78.
