Migliaccio leads Harder Hall, Redding close behind

Emilia Migliaccio, a Wake Forest sophomore, is chasing another Florida Orange Blossom title

SEBRING, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2018) – Emilia Migliaccio has already proved her mettle on the Florida Orange Blossom Circuit. The Wake Forest sophomore won the 2018 South Atlantic Amateur (Sally) title on a blustery day in Ormond Beach, Fla., last January.

Now she’s closing in on a different title.

Over the years, few women have pulled off the Sally-Harder Hall double. But at 2 over after 54 holes at Harder Hall Country Club, Migliaccio has a one-shot lead at 18 holes still to play.

The Cary, N.C., native was the ACC freshman of the year in 2018. She teed it up with the Demon Deacons four times this fall, winning once and finishing runner-up once.

Behind her, another ACC standout remains in position to challenge. Second-round leader Anna Redding, a senior at Virginia, posted her highest round of the tournament on Friday, a 3-over 75. She’s still only one shot off the pace.

Redding reached the quarterfinals of the North & South Women’s Amateur was runner-up at the Sally Amateur in 2018.

Annabell Fuller, a GB&I Curtis Cupper from London, had a third-round 71 to reach 4 over for the tournament and is third. Lei Ye is another shot back in fourth, following by Tuan yu Chiang who is 7 over and solo fifth.
