Medley Opens With Bogey-Free 65 to Lead 89th Earl Hunt Memorial in Montana

Scottsdale's Andrew Medley fired a seven-under round to take a three-shot advantage at Whitefish Lake Golf Club as more than 200 players tee it up in the holiday tradition.

Andrew Medley navigated Whitefish Lake's North Course without a blemish Thursday, posting a 7-under 65 to grab a three-shot cushion in the opening round of the 89th Earl Hunt Memorial Fourth of July Tournament.

The Scottsdale, Ariz. resident, a former University of Arizona golfer who now competes in the Grass League while working in commercial real estate, went out in 32 and came home in 33 to pace a field of more than 200 players spread across multiple flights on the club's North and South Courses.
