DAYTON, OH (June 22, 2017) - Matt Buse closed with a 3-under 68 to finish 2-under and as the two-stroke winner of the Ohio Mid-Amateur hosted by Miami Valley Golf Club.
Buse was able to hold off Michael Cress and Kevin Grabeman both of whom shared second at even-par, in fourth it was Brady Marinangeli at 1-over while Peter Samborsky II took fifth at 2-over.
Beginning the day at 1-over, Buse moved into the red with birdies on Nos. 3 and 6 to reach 1-under. His lone bogey of the round came on the 7th hole before the former Dayton Flyer secured his spot atop the standings with 9th and 11th hole birdies.
