CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 20, 2016) -- Los Angeles resident Marc Reyes fired a final round 5-under 67 to capture the Carlsbad City at the Crossings Golf Club.
Reyes, born in the Philippines, trailed first round leader Scotland Schmidt by five shots after he posted a first round 74 to Schmidt's 69 on Saturday. Paired together in the final-group, Reyes knew exactly where he stood the entire round. His 5-under final round effort put him at 141 for the weekend which was just enough to take the title.
Schmidt finished with a 1-over 73 for a 142 total while Scott Sterry finished third with rounds of 77-72 for a 149 total.
