The 63-under 801 was by far a new program record for LSU. The previous best team-score record was a 41-under 811 from the 2016 Maui Jim Intercollegiate.
Last year at this event, LSU placed five players in the top 5. This year, Hayden White and Trey Winstead tied for first at 17 under. Winstead closed with 65 while White closed with 68. Garrett Barber added a 15-under total for a third-place finish and Philip Barbaree was T-5 at 11 under.
Memphis was second at 26 under and Arkansas Tech was third at 22 under. Seven teams of the 12 in the field finished 54 holes under par at Southern Trace.
Interestingly, as low as LSU’s team score was, it still doesn’t break the NCAA 54-hole record. See below.
Today @LSUMensGolf finishes at 63-under-par today to win the David Toms Intercollegiate, but that's not the record for low 54-hole event... not even close!

The record belongs to Colorado State (@CSUMGolf) with a 77-under effort at the 2007 Agua Caliente Air Force Invite!
