Missouri Golf’s oldest championship heads back to one of its most storied venues as the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship returns to Milburn Country Club in Kansas City. The William B. Langford design, founded in 1917, will host the event for the sixth time, welcoming 144 of the state’s top amateurs for six days of competition beginning June 23. Players will compete on Milburn’s 6,971-yard, par-72 layout, with the field narrowed from 144 to 64 after 36 holes of stroke-play qualifying before five rounds of match play determine the champion.

The championship field blends proven winners with emerging talent. Defending champion Chad Niezing returns seeking his third Missouri Amateur title, while four-time champion Brad Nurski looks to add a fifth crown. Five former champions, accounting for nine Missouri Amateur victories, are in the field, alongside a strong contingent of collegiate players who make up more than one-third of the competitors.
