Shauna Liu
Shauna Liu stood on the 18th green at Osprey Valley's Heathlands Course on Friday with her name already etched into Canadian junior golf history. The final-round 72 delivered a three-shot victory and her third consecutive Canadian Junior Girls Championship, making the Maple, Ontario, native only the fourth player ever to three-peat at the national championship.
Liu finished at 11-under 273 after opening rounds of 69-67-65 gave her enough cushion to weather a steadier closing day. Kirra St-Laurent, a sophomore at SMU representing Australia, charged late with a tournament-low 63 to claim solo second at 8-under 276. Karrisa Yuehan Zhao of West Vancouver fired a matching 63 to vault into third at 7-under 277.
