Lake Bennett
Lake Bennett walked off Bogey Creek Golf Club on Saturday with more than a trophy. At 17 years, 6 months, and 29 days old, the Linn native became the youngest champion in Missouri Stroke Play history, closing with a 6-under 66 to win by three strokes.
Bennett's final-round 66 — the low round of the championship — pushed him to 14-under 274 over 72 holes at the Farmington layout. He had seized control Friday with a third-round 69, then put the field away down the stretch.
