Auburn junior Jackson Koivun delivered one of the most dominant performances in SEC history, winning his third straight conference title and leading the No. 1 Tigers to a record-setting stroke play victory at Sea Island.
The world’s No. 1-ranked amateur closed with a 7-under 63 to finish at 19-under 191 (64-64-63), good for a seven-shot win over Oklahoma senior Jake Summy, who finished runner-up at 12-under 198 (65-65-68). The victory makes Koivun just the second player ever to win three consecutive SEC individual titles—and the first in nearly 60 years.
Koivun entered the final round with a two-shot lead but quickly took control, birdieing three of his first eight holes before pulling away with a clinical back nine. Over 54 holes, he set a new championship scoring record.
Auburn matched that dominance in the team competition. The Tigers fired 39-under 801 (269-264-268), breaking their own SEC Championship record and finishing six shots ahead of No. 4 Florida, which placed second at 32-under 807 (269-271-267). No. 3 Texas finished third at 29-under 810 (269-269-272).
Auburn’s depth backed up its star. Junior Josiah Gilbert tied for seventh at 8-under 202 (68-65-69), while junior Cayden Pope finished tied for 13th at 6-under 204 (70-65-69), giving the Tigers three players inside the top 15.
