Kinkopf catches Knecht for Ralph Bogart co-lead

Ken Kinkopf pulled into a share of the lead Tuesday with a 1-under 71, the best score of the day

NAPLES, Fla. (Dec. 4, 2018) – Ken Kinkopf pulled into a share of the lead Tuesday in the second round of the Ralph Bogart. Kinkopf had 1-under 71 at the Rookery at Marco which tied for the low round of the day.

Kinkopf was able to climb into a share of the lead as first-round leader Mark Knecht fell back to field. Knecth had opened with 4-under 68 for a two-shot lead, and even started with a birdie on Tuesday. But three double bogeys throughout the rest of the round hurt his cause. He and Kinkopf are both at even par and will begin the third and final round with a one-shot lead on Craig Calkins, who is third after rounds of 70-75.

Jack Kearney, Matthew Sughrue and Rusty Strawn are all tied for fourth at 2 over.

In the super senior division, Rich Bauch has a two-shot lead after rounds of 72-73. Danna Sutton and Johnny Blank are the co-leaders in the grand master division at 3 over.
