Both of these champions are set to represent Australia in prestigious upcoming tournaments proudly. Pickin is on the roster for the Asia-Pacific Amateur, which takes place from October 26th to 29th at the illustrious Royal Melbourne in Australia.
On the other hand, Bosio, who has twice been a runner-up at the Australian Amateur, will be at the World Amateur Team Championships (WATC) from October 25th to 28th, hosted at the National Course of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
Playing for the first time as part of the South Australian Amateur after a number of years of inclusion in South Australian Men’s Country Week, the Country Championship awarded a reconstructed trophy to mark a special anniversary this week.
Initiated in 1909, the Men's Country Championship found its home at Kooyonga in 1923, coinciding with the club's inaugural year. In a poignant twist, Alan Reddy, the grandson of the 1923 champion Carl Faehrmann, graced the occasion by presenting the trophy to Andrew Fiebig as part of the club's centennial celebrations.
Fiebig's remarkable performance included rounds of 71-74, totaling 1-over, and secured him the championship with an astounding 16-stroke lead over runner-up Jackson Arthur, who finished the tournament 17-over with rounds of 77-84.
