    Snively Holds 4-Under Lead Through 13; Yun Remains Three Back After Two Rounds

    Taylor Snively (Zionsville, IN) stands at 4-under 140 through 13 holes, posting even-par 72 in round two to maintain her advantage. Keira Yun (Elizabethtown, KY) sits alone in second at 3-under 145, three strokes behind after her second-round 70. Four players share third at 1-over: Anna Norris (Johns Creek, GA) rebounded with 4-under 71 through 16, while Savera Sandhu (Pinehurst, NC), Addison Bandelier (Austin, TX), and Maci Williams (Brusly, LA) are all through 13 holes. Local favorite Rachel Joyce (Pinehurst, NC) sits at 2-over 144 after a 2-over 67 second round, while Scout Fitzgerald (Parker, CO) climbed into a tie for eighth at 3-over with a 1-under 70.

    Wang Leads Boys at 5-Under; Snively Holds Four-Shot Edge in Girls After 36 Holes

    Yunze Wang (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) sits alone atop the boys leaderboard at 5-under 136 following rounds of 67-69, one stroke ahead of Slater Meade (North Wilkesboro, NC), who posted 66-71 to reach 4-under 137. Henry Holland (Charlotte, NC) and Alexandre El Khomri (St Nom La Breteche, France) are tied for third at 2-under 139.

    In the girls division, Taylor Snively (Zionsville, IN) extended her lead to four shots at 4-under 140 after adding a 72 to her opening 68. Rachel Joyce (Pinehurst, NC) and Maci Williams (Brusly, LA) are tied for second at even-par 144, with Joyce posting the low round of the day at 67 to climb from a first-round 77.

    Three-Way Tie Atop Boys Leaderboard; Snively Leads Girls by Three

    Zonghan Liu of Nanjing, China, Slater Meade (North Wilkesboro, NC), and Jace Benson (Morgan, UT) share the boys lead at 5-under 66 after Monday's opening round on No. 6. Liu's card featured back-to-back birdies on holes 6 and 7, part of a birdie-eagle-birdie stretch across holes 6, 7, and 15 that keyed his round. Meade posted a 32 on the front nine, while Benson made an eagle at the par-5 13th.

    In the girls division playing No. 2, Taylor Snively (Zionsville, IN) leads at 4-under 68, three shots clear of Riley Grimm of Pinehurst. Snively went out in 32 with three birdies, then steadied herself coming home in 36. Autumn Solesbee (Stanley, NC) and Maci Williams (Brusly, LA) are tied for third at even-par 72.

The North & South Junior Golf Championship, part of Pinehurst Resort's annual championship series, will conduct its 48th edition June 22-24 at the famed No. 2 course in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

The tournament fields 180 competitors — 90 boys and 90 girls — aged 15-18 who have not yet started college. Separate boys' and girls' divisions will play 54 holes of stroke play over three days on Donald Ross's masterpiece, where distinctive turtle-back greens and wiregrass-framed fairways have tested champions for more than a century.
