OXNARD, Calif. — Jonny Hogan of Santa Ynez carded a 67 on Sunday at River Ridge Golf Club to secure a two-shot win at the Oxnard City Championship — his second city title of the year.
Hogan, who plays at Santa Barbara City College, won the Goleta City Championship earlier this year.
Hogan trailed opening-round leader Jonathan Nicholson by four, but ended up cruising to victory when Nicholson flubbed on Sunday, shooting 76 to drop back to fourth place.
Taking second was Rubin Carmona (71-68) while 2014 SCGA Mid-Amateur champ Ramie Sprinkling grabbed third (72-69).
