FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Jan. 20, 2014) -- Marisa Messana will be the No. 1 seed when match play begins Tuesday at the 2014 Jones/Doherty Championship at Coral Ridge Country Club.
Messana is one of five players who'll have a bye through the first round of play in the 32-player bracket. She shot 72 on Monday to take medalist honors during stroke-play qualifying, finishing a shot better than No. 2 Brittany Fan and three better than Isabella Dilisio, who'll be the No. 3 seed.
