Jan Wdowka made the long odds look easy Thursday at Victory Links in Blaine, firing a 9-under 62 to claim medalist honors in the Pre-Qualifying round for the PGA Tour's 3M Open.
The Lindenwood University senior from the Czech Republic now residing in Kamenice, Missouri, vaulted past a field of pros and amateurs to secure his spot in the Monday qualifier, scheduled for July 20. Wdowka's round featured an eagle and seven birdies, including a back-nine stretch where he carded 4-under 32 with an eagle on the par-5 12th.
