2025 Indiana Amateur champion Matt Vogt
Matt Vogt added another milestone to an already remarkable amateur career, setting a 54-hole scoring record while winning the 126th Indiana State Amateur Championship in a playoff at Broadmoor Country Club.
The championship brought 157 of the state's top amateurs to the historic Donald Ross design, with the field trimmed to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes. Vogt, an Indianapolis-area dentist who became one of the rare mid-amateurs to qualify for the 2025 U.S. Open, opened with a 67 before firing an 8-under 64 to seize control at 13-under. Cole Bradley, who regained his amateur status earlier this year, stayed within striking distance after a brilliant second-round 63, while Maverick Conaway also entered the final round in contention.
