NEW LENOX, Ill. (May 19, 2014) -- Fresh off a runner-up finish at the Carlton Woods Invitational, Kyle Nathan won by a shot at one of Illinois' most competitive events.
Nathan, a reinstated amateur, shot 68-70 to finish ahead of Michael Natale by one at the I-80 Amateur.
Nathan entered the final round in third place, trailing Natale by two and and a shot back of Jason Buffone after opening with a 68. His final-round 70 tied for ht second lowest score of the day and was just enough to give him the title at Sanctuary Golf Course.
David Cooke finished tied for second with Natale thanks to a closing 70 while Dylan Gerge and Buffone rounded out the Top 5.
