Ireland takes the European Nations Cup led by Jack Hume who claims his 2nd prestigious amateur title this year by six shots

SOTOGRANDE, Spain -- Jack Hume is quickly climbing near the top of the amateur golf world, cruising to a six-stroke victory at the European Nations Cup in Cádiz. The 22-year old Walker Cup player, closed with a 75 at La Reserva de Sotogrande to finish at 3-under par and six strokes clear of British Amateur champion Romain Langasque of France and Welshman Owen Edwards. It was Hume's second win in three weeks following his victory in the South African Amateur Strokeplay and comes with the added bonus of leading Ireland to the team title. Ireland beat out France by 10 shots with Wales, England, and Scotland rounding out the top 5. Spain won the women's team title by eight shots over Austria and 10 shots France with Austria's Emma Spitz edging out Spain's Maria Parra by two shots for the individual title.
