Horan wins weather-altered New South Wales Medal

Thomas Horan used a 3rd-round 67 to jump into the lead and was declared victor as weather conditions became too dangerous to continue

Victoria's Thomas Horan (Cheltenham GC) has won the NSW Medal, which was reduced to 54 holes after a violent electrical storm swept across Sydney this afternoon. Horan's fantastic third round of 67 at Bonnie Doon in the strong southerly leap frogged him into the lead. This was then denounced the final positions after the conditions became too dangerous for play to continue. Englishmen Nathan Kimsey and Garrick Porteous finished second and third, respectively.
