It took 73-holes but finally Grant Forrest was able to capture the Battle Trophy in a playoff

ANSTRUTHER, UK (April 17, 2016)--It took 73-holes but Grant Forrest was finally able to capture the Battle Trophy. Forrest and Euan McIntosh both finished regulation 3-over-par and headed for a sudden death playoff. It took just one hole for Forrest to seal the deal. Forrest has a decorated golf pedigree winning the 2012 Scottish Amateur and four collegiate events while playing for the University of San Diego. He also competed on the 2015 Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup winning team. Finishing in third was Liam Johnston (+7) while three others tied for fourth.
