Playing at Wycliffe Golf & Country Club, the father-son team lit up the best-ball round with a 9-under 63 that included birdies on the first three holes, three more in a row starting at the sixth, then at 11, 13, and 15.
Round two was scheduled to be Modified Alternate Shot, but when heavy rain moved in the round was canceled and Team Nicklaus were declared the winners.
Scott Turner and Kevin Talty shot 64 to finish in second place, followed by three teams tied for third at 65--Scott Butler/Robbie Wight, Kevin Lynn/Anthony Russo, and Ryan Howison/John Powers.
The Senior Division was won by R.J. Nakashian and Danny Del Medico with a 66, while Robbie Dew and Steve Earsley took the Super Senior Division with a 65.
