Zach Foushee erases six-shot deficit to win first PNGA Mid-Amateur title

Zach Foushee of Lake Oswego, Ore., came from six shots behind in the final round to capture his first PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship, closing with a 4-under 68 at Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, Wash.

Foushee entered the final round at 2-over for the day? Wait, no. He began six behind overnight leader Paul Mitzel, but while the leaders gave shots back, Foushee put together the round he needed. His 68 completed rounds of 69-73-68 for a 6-under 210 total and a three-shot victory.
