Florida Open: Amateur Ethan Marcus one back after First Round

Just two amateurs are in the top-10 after one day of play at Interlachen Country Club

WINTER PARK, FL (July 15, 2016) -- Rising Nova Southeastern junior Ethan Marcus is one of just two amateurs in the top-10 after the first round of the Florida Open. Marcus is one-stroke back after the first day of play at Interlachen Country Club thanks to a 3-under 69. Starting on the 10th hole Marcus birdied his opening hole, the first of his five throughout the day against just two bogeys. The second lowest amateur in the first round was Christian Vozza at 1-under and tied for eighth. Professionals Alan Morin, Caleb Johnson and Matt Cote are all tied for first at 4-under.
