Final Round 59 lifts Callahan-Thomas to Mizz 4-Ball Title

ST. LOUIS, MO (July 31, 2018) - Crimson Callahan and Frankie Thomas played 36-holes at the Missouri Four-Ball and over the course of those 36-holes at Glen Echo Country Club they birdied 19-times, eagle twice while bogeying only once en route to a 22-under finish and a seven-stroke victory. Callahan, a rising sophomore at Western Kentucky, and Thomas, a junior to be at Southern Illinois, opened with a 10-under 61 to take the lead on Monday before going even lower in the final round with a 12-under 59. Leading by one heading into the final round Callahan and Thomas came roaring out of the gates with birdies on each of the first four holes and an eagle on the 5th to extend their advantage. Following a par on the 6th Callahan and Thomas birdied Nos. 7-9 to close the front side in 9-under 27 and move to 19-under overall. On the second nine Callahan and Thomas cooled off a bit rolling in three birdies for a 3-under 32. Throughout the tournament the duo played the front side in 14-under and the back nine in 8-under. Their only bogey of the tournament came on the 6th hole of the first round, they then played the last 30 holes in 20-under. Travis Simmons and Brevin Giebler were second at 15-under, Christopher Ferris and Kyle Szyhowski placed third at 14-under while Brett Davis and Alex Locke, Tom Barry and Brett Hull, Tony Gumper and Ryan Eckelkamp shared fourth at 12-under.
