The championship match was a see-saw battle from start to finish. Navarrosa jumped out to an early lead by taking the first hole, before Muzi battled back with wins on No. 2 and 3. Navarrosa had a 1 up lead heading into the final nine holes and when she rolled in a birdie on the uphill par-4 10th, the sophomore from San Diego enjoyed a 2-up lead over her Trojan teammate.
Muzi saw action in five tournaments for the Trojans last season, earning a season-best third place finish at The Gold Rush in February. A three-time Rolex Junior All-American (2017-19), Navarrosa was one of the nation's top recruits coming out of Mater Dei Catholic High School in San Diego. The 2019 Canadian Women's Amateur Championship cracked a talented Trojan lineup seven times during the course of the season, including starts at the Pac-12 Championships, NCAA Regional and NCAA Championships.Fight On!
