Des Moines City: Brown, Buckley win titles

DES MOINES, Iowa (June 15, 2014) -- Jon Brown shot rounds of 67-73-72 to win the 2014 Des Moines City Championship. At Waveland Golf Course, Brown survived a final-round surge from Broc Everett to win by three shots. Everett shot up the leaderboard and took solo second after a final-round 69. Justin Schulted and Thailer Carlson finished at even par to tie for third place. Bob Buckley shot rounds of 70-77-74 to win by one in the Senior Division. His final-round 74 kept pace with Andy Burton, who took solo second place. Larry Kirsner and Jim Brown were tied for third, finishing two shots back of Buckley's winning total.
