Denver Haddix Jr. played like his hair was on fire to defeat Rob Crockett II 5&4 in the Lower Bracket final.
In the Upper Bracket final it was Andy Roberts and Joe Deraney battling it out until the final putt dropped. In the end Roberts was able to outlast Deraney 2 up and advance to the finals. Deraney had been making a bid for his second consecutive big win after winning the Lupton Invitational a little more than a week ago.
In the final match, Haddix played fantastic golf as he defeated Roberts, the top-seed and medalist winner 4&2. Unofficially Haddix was 10-under during the championship match.
The Kentucky Senior Match Play Championship featured the same final pairing as last year with defending champion Steve Humphrey and Gary Backlund going head-to-head. Both players played solid all day long but in the end Humphrey captured the title for the second straight year, winning 3&2.
In the Players Division, Ben Kendrick was victorious over Nick Wilkins 5&4 while Tim Dudley took home the Senior Handicap Division with a 2 up win over Dan Trent.
