Karla Cotton Cruises to Fourth Mid-Am Title with 21-Shot Runaway in Aberdeen

Karla Cotton turned Lee Park Golf Course into a private exhibition over the weekend, posting rounds of 69-71 to win the South Dakota Women's Mid-Amateur Championship by a staggering 21 shots.

Cotton, from Sioux Falls, finished at 2-under 140 to claim her fourth title in the event, adding to victories in 2022, 2023, and 2025. The margin of victory spoke to her dominance across the 36-hole stroke play championship, as she distanced herself from a field that struggled to match her consistency on Aberdeen's municipal layout.
