Coral Canyon Amateur: Boston Bracken breaks the single course record

The field went low, with Bracken still only winning by two shots

Boston Bracken of Crimson Cliff School carded rounds of 64-65 to finish 15-under and win the Coral Canyon Amateur Championship title by a two-shot margin at Coral Canyon Golf Course in Washington, Ut.

Bracken's 15-under total surpassed Bowen Mauss of Corner Canyon School and University of Utah sophomore Tanner Telford by two strokes. Mauss carded rounds of 67-64 against Telford's 65-66 to finish T2 at 13-under.

Bracken, the Utah Golf Association's Player of the Year, two-time Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) State Champion, and a future member of the Sun Devils Men's Golf team at Arizona State, previously established the new course record at Coral Canyon with his impressive 8-under 64 in the opening round.

The Championship flight saw a total of 91 amateurs compete for the title.

In the tournament's first flight, Dylan Winona carded rounds of 75-71 to secure Gross title in the section with a total score of 2-over, holding a six-stroke margin over Crew Christensen, who carded 75-77 to finish as the runner-up at 8-over.
