Christina Foster's 66 gives her two-shot lead at Women's Porter Cup

Christina Foster of Canada popped into the Women's Porter Cup lead with a 66 on day two at Niagara Falls Country Club

LEWISTON, N.Y. — Canadian lefty Christina Foster popped into the Women's Porter cup lead on Thursday with a second-round of 66 — the lowest score of the tournament thus far. She'll head the final group Friday at Niagara Falls Country Club, joined by first-round leader Josee Doyon, also of Canada, and Mexican junior golfer Ana Paula Valdes. This is the third annual running of the event, which is the sister tournament to the Men's Porter Cup, held each year since 1959. Casie Cathrea captured the inaugural event back in 2013, while Canadian superstar Brooke Henderson was the champion in 2014. Doyon, a senior at Kent State University, posted 68 on day one and followed that up with 72 on Thursday. Valdes finds herself two back and in the final group thanks to back-to-back rounds in the 70s.
