Christian Anderson wins Ocala City Amateur by six

With rounds of 72 and 70, Anderson captured a sizable victory while former MLB first baseman Troy Glaus tied for second place

OCALA, Fla. — Christian Anderson, AJ Kroeger and Randy Briggs all had something in common at the end of regulation play in the Bo Williams Ocala City Amateur Championship. They all shot under par and all won their respective divisions. Anderson, who was tied with Steve Albright heading into the final day pulled away from all contenders with a 2-under-par 70. Anderson’s 142 total was six better than runners-up Troy Glaus (75-73) and David Griffin (74-74). Fourth place went to Joel Durrance (76-73 – 149). In the Senior Division Orlando’s AJ Kroeger came from three shots behind to over take first round Larry Cotten. Kroeger shot a 1-under-par 71 for a 145 total and three shots better than Dave Falcone (75-73), Jim Williams 74-74) and Larry Cotten (70-78). In the Super Senior Division Randy Briggs fired a 1-under-par 71 to claim the top spot. Briggs’ 143 total was three shots better than Berger Warner (74-72). Finishing Third was Wyatt Meyer (74-73) with Joe Lukasik fourth (76-73).
