Hwang finished with rounds of 71-68-68-70, beating Kevin Lee by four shots for low amateur

BEAUMONT, Calif. (July 18, 2013) -- Amateur Jay Hwang fired a final-round 70 to take lone possession of low amateur honors at the 2013 California State Open. Hwang finished at 11-under, six shots back of winner Ray Beaufils, who prevailed in a playoff over James Drew. Hwang finished with rounds of 71-68-68-70, beating Kevin Lee by four shots for low amateur. Lee was tied for 24th with rounds of 71-68-68-74. Clayton Yamaguchi was tied for 26th after shooting 73-72-66-71.
