For BYU, it was about holding ground while Colorado State made a gentle charge. The Rams tied for the second-best team score of the day despite struggling to close. Colorado State counters went 9 over in the final two holes.
Parathakorn Suyasri won the individual title with his 11-under total. That effort ended with a final-round 67.
As for BYU, the Jerry Pate represents a second consecutive team title after the Cougars won the Nick Watney Invitational last week.
"We didn't have our best round today but we found a way to get it done," BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said. "We've got a great group of guys who work hard and refuse to give up."
Auburn was third at 13 under followed by the University of Alabama Birmingham in fourth, nine shots back.
