Matt Lowe takes low amateur honors with runner-up finish

Matt Lowe of Bethpage continued his impressive 2026 season with another strong showing, closing with a 4-under 68 to finish runner-up overall and earn low amateur honors at 9-under.

Lowe made five birdies in the final round and completed a notable week on the back nine, where he went bogey-free in all three rounds. His closing 68 lifted him one shot clear of fellow amateurs Fritz Smith and Eli Weidmann in the race for low amateur.
