ALPHARETTA, GA (October 4, 2018) - Nick Cassini of Roswell posted a 5-under-par 67 with eight birdies in stroke play qualifying to earn medalist honors and advance to match play. The 100th playing of the Atlanta Amateur Match Play Championship is taking place at Echelon Golf Club, October 4-7.
The two-time defending champion, Stan Gann, Jr., of Warner Robins is exempt into match play and will begin his title defense against Sterling Desantis of Alpharetta at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
Entries were open to male amateur golfers. The format is match play preceded by 18 holes of stroke play qualifying with the low 31 players and the defending champion advancing to match play.
