Big final day lifts Tyler Barry to Wyoming Mid-Amateur title

Tyler Barry shot a 5-under 67 during the final round to win by one-stroke

ROCK SPRINGS, WY (August 14, 2016) -- Tyler Barry surged to the top of the leaderboard on the final day to win the Wyoming Mid-Amateur. Barry shot a final round 5-under 67 to finish even-par and two-strokes in front of Phil Kalivas at White Mountain Golf Club. The day got off to a slow start for Barry as he dropped to 6-over with a 3rd hole bogey. On the ensuing hole Barry began to turn things around. Barry eagled the par-5 5th to move to 4-over and then to 3-over after a birdie on the 6th. After turning in 2-under 34 Barry birdied the 10th, 12th and 14th to reach even-par. Phil Kalivas started the day 1-under before shooting a 3-over 75 to finish 2-over and in second place. Kyle Siddoway was third at 4-over, Mark Isakson finished fourth at 5-over while Roger Sheaffer was fifth at 7-over.
