Bermuda Match Play: Hunt tops Dillas in finale

The final match was played under some tough conditions but Hunt managed to hang on and top the consistent Dillas

HAMILTON PARISH, Bermuda (March 8, 2014) -- In a battle of the top two seeds, No. 2 Fraser Hunt defeated defending champion Jarryd Dillas, 2-and-1, to win the 2014 Bermuda Match Play Championship at Mid Ocean Club. The final match was played under some tough conditions but Hunt managed to hang on and top the consistent Dillas. In the Senior Division, No. 3 Max Atherden topped No. 1 Craig Christensen, 5-and-4. The championship-clinching win put the cap on a remarkable run by Atherden, who won 7-and-5 and 6-and-5 in his two earlier matches. Top-seeded Ebonie Burgess prevailed in the Women's Division. She was an 8-and-7 victor over No. 6 Linda Down.
