Vu has also won the 2023 British Open, the Chevron Championship, and the Honda LPGA Thailand. The British Open and Chevron Championship are majors on the LPGA Tour.
Vu's second win on the LPGA Tour was the Chevron Championship, where she birdied the first playoff hole to beat Angel Yin in a dramatic finish to win at The Club at Carlton Woods after her breakthrough breaking through in February with a victory at the Honda LPGA Thailand.
Vu won eight times as a collegian at UCLA to rank first on the Bruins' all-time career victory list. She was named the 2016 Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Year, and in 2018 she was Women's Golf Coaches Association Player of the Year, Pac-12 Conference Golfer of the Year, and Honda Award finalist. She was also a three-time WGCA First Team All-American and All-Pac 12 performer.
As a junior, she won the Pac-12 individual championship at Sewailo Golf Club to lead the Bruins to the conference title.
In the summer of 2017, she finished second at the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship and reached the semifinals of match play at the U.S. Women's Amateur.
A native of Fountain Valley, Calif., Vu captured the 2016 Women's Southern California Amateur Championship at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club by shooting a final round 68 to secure a two-shot win over Haley Moore.
Vu earned four points for the victorious 2018 U.S. Curtis Cup team at Quaker Ridge Golf Club, Scarsdale, New York and won the 2018 Espirito Santo Trophy in Ireland with Jennifer Kupcho and Kristen Gillman. She also won the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup at Evian Resort Golf Club in France.
