Mason Andersen has a long career of competitive amateur golf under his belt, and has made 19 of 30 cuts on the Korn Ferry Tour since joining in 2023. He's won a few small events like the Lamkin San Diego Classic (collegiate) San Tan Amateur (amateur), but nothing like the career-boosting playoff victory he recorded the first Sunday in March of 2024 at the Korn Ferry Tour's Argentina Open.
He joined a list of past champions that includes 9-time winner Roberto De Vincenzo, the legendary Argentinian golfer who won 229 professional events, but who will be forever remembered for signing an incorrect scorecard that kept him out of a playoff for the 1968 Masters Tournament.
Andersen, from Mesa, Arizona, stayed close to home for his collegiate career. We got to know him through his four-straight years of playing our partner tournament The Dogwood Invitational, where he recorded a top-10 finish in 2019.
