Ballo, Kronberg win Jerry Courville, Sr. Memorial

The pair of Peter Ballo and Ross Kronberg beat out the defending champions by two shots with a nine-under par round of 62

Norwalk, Conn. (September 9, 2014) — Defending champions Aaron Gross and Steven Velardi were looking to repeat at the Jerry Courville, Sr. Memorial Four-Ball on Tuesday at Shorehaven Country Club. They shot seven-under par 64, which would seem good enough to win, but Peter Ballo and Ross Kronberg were just a bit better. The pair fired a nine-under par round of 62 to win the event and knock off the defending champions. The winning team got off to a remarkable start when they made eagle on the par-five first hole, eventually shooting 28 on the front nine. Addison Owens and Todd Payne finished in solo third place with a 65.
